Lois Colton retired from her work as a writing instructor at the Oregon State Penitentiary and moved to Hood River, Oregon, to be close to her children and grandchildren. She currently teaches ESL part-time to adult students at the community college and facilitates Amherst Writers and Artist Workshops for local writing enthusiasts. She chooses to live a life filled with energy and artistry—gifts bequeathed to her by her family. No family is perfect, but she knows the gifts of love she’s been given. She never wants to stop being a learner and says “Yes” to way too many things.
